The Reason for the Season!
Abrik was a curious boy who questioned everything. He was particularly skeptical of his parents’ religion, because it never brought peace to their home. No matter how devoted he tried to be in his rituals, he couldn’t shake the concerns that mounted in his mind.
At the height of his doubts, Abrik met Kajri, who invited him to join the Children’s Bible Club she led. Abrik’s parents were hesitant at first, but they eventually agreed because they wanted their son to have a place to grow alongside his peers. And that’s exactly what happened!
Abrik loved the Bible Club! The Christ-centered songs, fun games, and engaging stories Kajri told all brought him joy. He was especially interested in the Bible lessons taught at the end of each day.
The real change came when Kajri shared the story of Jesus’ birth. Abrik knew Jesus’ birth had something to do with Christmas, but this was the first time he had heard the full story. He was amazed that the Son of God humbled Himself to be born in a manger! Soon he realized that Jesus was no ordinary baby, but that He, in fact, was born to save us from our sins. Abrik’s eyes were opened to the unconditional love of the Father!
Abrik’s parents started to see a change in their son—a boy who was once suspicious began to trust God. They saw that Abrik had more joy and peace in his life than before. Whereas he used to be skeptical of their religion, he was showing genuine interest in the Bible Club.
The more he learned about Christ, the greater his confidence grew. Abrik received salvation through Jesus, and, as you can see from the picture he colored, he is excited to celebrate this Christmas as a child of God! Will you pray for Abrik’s parents to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus?
